We focus on the transaction,
not just the document.
Ardian Law is a transaction-focused boutique law firm. We work with businesses, investors and professional advisers to structure, negotiate and execute transactions.
Three kinds of client, one kind of work.
Businesses
Companies buying, selling, restructuring or raising — where the transaction changes ownership, control or capital structure.
Investors
Private investors, family offices, funds and private lenders deploying capital and needing the rights that attach to it documented properly.
Professional advisers
Accountants, corporate advisers and other lawyers who bring us in for the transaction work, or for a specialist question inside a matter they are running.
The deal has to close.
Everything else follows from that.
Transactions have a tempo. Advice that arrives late, or that does not take a position, costs more than advice that is imperfect and on time. We work at the pace of the deal and we tell clients plainly where we think the risk actually sits.
We draft to the commercial position rather than to precedent. A document that reproduces market standard but does not reflect what the parties agreed is not a good document, whatever it looks like.
We negotiate directly with counterparties and their advisers, and we keep a running record of open points so nothing is discovered at completion.
Senior involvement is not a service promise. It is how a boutique works: the lawyer advising on the transaction is the lawyer negotiating it.
Two specialist practices
Alongside the transaction practice, the firm maintains two specialist capabilities.
Discuss a transaction.
Tell us what you are working on and we will tell you how we would approach it.
