About this policy

Ardian Law Pty Ltd (ABN 43 701 713 046) operates this website. This policy explains how we handle information received through the website and initial enquiries. If you engage us, our engagement documents and any additional collection notices will explain information handling specific to your matter.

Information we collect

The enquiry form collects your name, email address, telephone number and organisation if provided, the nature and details of your enquiry, and how you found us. We also record the submission time and your acknowledgement of the form’s notices. We receive information you provide when contacting us by email or telephone. Please provide only a brief description initially and do not send identity documents, sensitive information or confidential matter documents through the form.

Why we use it

We use enquiry information to respond, understand the assistance you need, assess whether we can act, manage follow-up and protect the form against misuse. Providing the required contact details allows us to reply. You may make a general enquiry anonymously or using a pseudonym by telephone, but we may need to identify you before providing services. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to marketing.

Website storage and service providers

Form submissions are saved in a database supporting this ChatGPT Site and displayed in an inbox restricted to the firm’s authorised account. They are not sent through Web3Forms. Our website hosting and database providers, including OpenAI’s Sites platform and Cloudflare infrastructure, process information to operate the service. Hosting providers may also handle technical information such as IP addresses, browser information and access logs. If you contact us by email, our email service provider processes that correspondence.

Disclosure and overseas processing

We may disclose information to providers assisting with hosting, communications and technical support, to professional advisers where reasonably necessary, or where authorised by you or required or permitted by law. These services may involve processing or access outside Australia. We have not confirmed all countries used by the hosting platform and its providers, and do not represent that information is stored only in Australia. Please contact us before submitting information if its processing location is important to you.

Security and retention

The website uses HTTPS and restricts access to its enquiry inbox. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Enquiries are stored until reviewed and removed; the form does not currently apply automatic deletion. Information may need to be retained for enquiry management, conflict checks, a resulting engagement or legal and professional obligations. You can ask us to review whether information is still required and request deletion, subject to those obligations.

Cookies and automated processing

The hosting platform may use cookies or similar technologies for security and sign-in. The website form has validation and submission limits to reduce abuse. It does not provide automated legal advice or automatically decide whether the firm will act for you.

Access, correction and complaints

To request access or correction, ask about deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email hello@ardianlaw.com.au or telephone 02 8111 7700. Describe your request and how we can contact you; we may need to verify your identity. We will assess the request, explain any applicable restriction and aim to respond to privacy complaints within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will let you know. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, where it has jurisdiction.

Updates

We may update this policy as our website or information handling changes. The date above identifies the current version. Contact us for a copy or further information.
